John Somerset

As a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, John holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business by Research on the topic of school financial sustainability. John is currently completing a PhD on predicting financial sustainability in schools to prevent financial stress. John has 38 years’ experience in chartered accounting with the past 28 years focused on the Independent Schools sector including benchmarking, financial analysis and board governance. John was a board member of Independent Schools Queensland for 18 years (7 years chair), past director of Independent Schools Australia and has over 20 years’ experience on school boards.
